We're on our way!

Hi Everyone!
We have just had a great time at the pools and are on our way home. We should be back at school between 4.30 and 5.15pm.
All unclaimed roasting trays and containers etc can be claimed from Room 3 today or tomorrow!

Who is MRS GREN?

Today in class we learned about the seven life processes. We brainstormed hard by ourselves, then in a group to see if we could come up with them ourselves. We decided they were:

• Growing- seed to tree, baby to adult
• Movement- humans move and plants move towards light
• Breathe/oxygen/inhale
• Eat/drink- consume/supplements
• Emotions
• Can die
• Have blood/sap

We then watched this BBC School Bitesize Revision clip (click on image). How well did we do?!

CAMP REMINDERS :)

Just reminding everyone that the camp permissions and health profiles etc... were due back last Friday. Please remember these for Monday as I need to collate them before the camp meeting on Tuesday at 5.30pm.

Camp meetings-

Parents general camp info meeting- 5.30pm Tuesday night, Room 3

If your child has special food requirements, eg. allergies/gluten free etc... please ensure you come to the food committee meetings :)

Term 4 Inquiry- Sharing The Planet

This term our inquiry is called, 'Sharing the Planet'

Our BIG IDEA is that plants, animals and humans are all interconnected and interdependent.

In class we watched this clip on COMMUNITY and learned the science vocabulary related to ecosystems-



Then we watched this clip on ecosystems. Can you remember the different classifications of ecosystems and list them in a comment?

Term 3 Totara Trading

We had a great turn out for our Totara Trading this term as we invited our buddy classes. In Room 3 we gave them $50 Totara Dollars each to come and spend.

Last Friday at 3.30pm some of our NCS students performed Jai Ho to an audience in central Nelson. All students from Years 3-6 were taught this dance during drama and were invited to perform this with Daniel their drama teacher.
Watch the video and feel free to dance this dance around your home as often as you like with the sound turned up! Maybe you could get your whole family involved?! (Now that would be funny!)
